Lifelock is Useless

We just received the "Good News" email that Lifelock has protected our account this month and detected 0 fraudulent activity. 3 weeks ago my husband's bank/visa was hacked and last Saturday someone hacked into our phone account and walked out of a store with 2 new phones. BOTH INCIDENTS were NOT reported by Lifelock. When I called Lifelock to say what had happened the first words out of the customer service agent's mouth were not "I'm so sorry this happened" they were "it looks like you have a basic account and should upgrade." Now a week after actually having to tell Lifelock our identity had been breached we get this email? This company is a fraud, useless and we would NEVER and will NEVER recommend this company.

Perhaps I need expectations training

This may be as simple as me not understanding the benefits of LifeLock membership. My identify was compromised when a credit card was opened using my name and SSN. I called LifeLock and was told that they had no record of suspicious activity and did not know the next steps. A customer service representative did recommend that I contact the three credit bureaus. That was the extent of our LifeLock coverage. Earlier this week, we received a letter from the IRS alerting us that someone tried to alter our 2014 tax return using my husband's SSN. Today, I got a congratulations email from LifeLock that no threats were found. So if LifeLock does not know when suspicious activity happens with our SSNs and does not know what to do when a credit card is opened fraudulently, what exactly should we expect from our membership?

Disappointed

My last email from Lifelock stated: "During the past month, LifeLock found no fraudulent activity associated with your personal information within our extensive network." Just to update you - Someone opened a credit card account under my name and SS# at Barclays. Two weeks ago I notified the credit reporting agencies and placed a fraud alert under my name.

Not worth it

Getting emails telling me that $xxxx was withdrawn from my checking account is not what I expected. At first, there were a number of emails like that. After they "proved" themselves to me, the emails stopped.

This is the first timeIu have been notified of any activity in my credit files. Last year I purchased a new car and never had an alert from this service. If this is the expectation, you fall far below the rating you have been awarded.

card number was stolen and used to make big purchases my bank caught this and called me after the second purchase and put a hold on my card I have yet to hear from LifeLock about any of this taking place. This was three weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them since then my card has been replaced the money was returned by my bank and they are dealing with the fraud.

LifeLock does not protect like they say they do. My bank found fraudant use on my debit card and reissued another. How come LifeLock did not know that? Keep meaning to call and cancel and will next week. No use having something that doesn't do what they say they do.

Not a good service

I signed up for Life Lock because my company private info was hacked into and so I signed up and wanted my debit card and checking account protected. Month after month they send texts that nothing fraudulent has been found but just less than a month ago my debit card was used without my knowledge from a third party and had to close account. Lifelock didn't even catch it my bank did.
