I have subscribed to Liffelock now for a few years. I continually receive the "no problems found" report but never anything else. I guess it is good to know someone is monitoring my finances but I don't really know that for sure. Actually I am not sure what exactly you are doing to protect me from identity theft. I thought that until something happens to me, identity theft that is, you don't actually do anything for me. I am responsible to protect myself but if someone steals my information that is when you come into the picture and until then you are not actually protecting me, is that not the way this service works? When I was in trouble I had to contact Lifelock. Lifelock did not know that someone had stolen my credit card number and used it. So maybe I am wrong, but is that not how this service works? In my case by the time Lifelock responded or acted I had already done all that could be done. Of course, I was fortunate that I found out so quickly that someone had stolen one of my shipped orders and that way found out who I am and my email address and used it to get access to my credit card listed with the business I had shopped with. But then they actually gave this person a new password to my account simply because he told them he could not remember it, by phone!, and the employee gave him a new password which gave him access to my credit card. Anyway I cought it and report it to everyone I could think of including Lifelock of course. By the time I heard from Lifelock I had already done all that could be done and the crooks only had less than 24hrs before the card was canceled and his shopping was over. I thank Lifelock for the support I received after the fact, but I was very shook up and knowing that I had Lifelock was a big relief, l counted on them to be there if I did not stop the thief and worse was to come.
