Oliver Buxton is a staff editor at Gen who focuses on data privacy online. Oliver’s work on cyberterrorism and cyberwarfare has been published in The Times, and he previously worked on digital safeguarding policy for higher education institutions. When not writing, Oliver is likely lost in a history book, practicing photography, or piloting drones.

He holds a BA from the University of Leeds and an MA in History of Warfare from King’s College London, specializing in cyberwarfare and the role of digital communications in the evolution of insurgency. Oliver also holds certificates in Introduction to Cyber Attacks and Cyber Attack Countermeasures from Coursera.
