When someone filed a fraudulent unemployment claim, using my name and soc sec number, I contacted LifeLock. I became a member and since then LifeLock notified me when someone, not me, tried to get a cell phone under my name. LifeLock took action immediately, asking if I was the one applying for the cell phone. When I said no, LifeLock handled the matter quickly and completely.

I have life lock and originally I had both myself and my son insured. Well, my son went to Italy 2-years ago and he didn't notify his credit card company nor Life Lock about his scheduled vacation. So while in Italy he was using his credit cards and Life-Lock immediately notified me because I had him protected under my account. I was so happy to know that Life lock was on the job and sent me and my son emails and voice messages to contact them immediately due to his information was being used in another Country and maybe compromised . So now we are both aware that we need to notify Life Lock and our Credit Card Companies when we are taking vacations out of the Country. I am thankful and pleased that we are protected by Life Lock. I have received SO MANY letters recently telling me that my personal information has been compromised (i.e. lost or stolen) by several different companies, financial institutions, insurance providers ... you name it!! It got to the point where I decided I needed to protect myself. So I turned to Lifelock. And sure enough, 11 months later, I received an alert from Lifelock that someone had tried to open credit in my name,, using my date of birth and social security number. A representative walked me through the steps I needed to take, and even mediated a call between me and the lender. The whole thing was resolved within a week's time. Thank you, Lifelock!
