My husband and I are long time LifeLock customers and got Mom and Dad to sign up 4 years ago 3 days later mom got a call of someone using her ID ordered over $500 site to store from a well known chain. After getting four credit cards hacked for thousands, two of them multiple times, I thought it would be a good idea that I take some precautions, and I learned about LifeLock. If you have not been hacked (yet), NOW is the time to sign up. Don't take the route that I took. BEFORE getting hacked, it is so MUCH better than after, even though LifeLock provided great and patient help to me getting my accounts straightened out, afterwards.
