Last month some one used my acct # to make an online purchase. The bank cleared it up. I had to change acct cards. Now someone got ahold of my new number and again made an online purchase on the new number. I just got my third card. The bank has an investigation going. I still don't understand what I'm getting from you, when it's the bank that's always helping me out of the problems?

Concerned with Identity theft but still unsure of Lifelock v

Lifelock is a good idea, but I'm not sure they are much help. Too many things on their website just don't work. They want you to sign up for text alerts, but They are unable to text me on my ATT phone??? My credit card company can send me text alerts....but not Lifelock? Seems like a fairly big problem if you ask me. Also have been having repeated difficulties accessing their new feature that helps you "opt-out" from websites that sell your personal information. Even this review page won't allow me to pick how many stars to award them (I give them 2 stars out of 5)

not great but OK

You didn't pick up the fact that my Discover card number was fradulently being used in September.. However Discover did Thank God.My wife's Cabela's credit card number was being fraudulently being used. No notice from LifeLock..Good thing Cabela's was on top of it. In other words you guys kind of suck at your main job.

It's ok but expect more

Have had Lifelock for about a year an during that year I had my credit cards compromised. I contacted Lifelock and they responded by saying that they can't monitor all credit card use. I asked then what am I paying for? The credit card was used on the other side of the country and that should've prompted some suspicion from Lifelock. I'd rather be inconveinced on purchases than having someone just using my card without any restrictions. I believe Transunion's credit monitoring is a better tool. They alert you anytime your credit card is used. At least I know they're checking things.

Due to the massive personnel data breach at the federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) federal employees like myself were provided with free credit monitoring services for at least 7 years - with a move in Congress to make it "for life". That monitoring service (not Life Like) has provided me with information and alerts that said they were monitoring the "black" or "dark" internet and had observed potentially fraudulent use of my email. I was thus able to take proactive actions to ensure updating my email password and all passwords for financial accounts. It doesn't appear that Life Lock is doing that level of protection as I have never received similar type alerts.

Nothing bad has happened this year with my information. However, I did take out a new used car loan 3 months ago and DID NOT get a life lock notification of such happening to verify that I actually did this. THIS was a SURPRISE! Secondly, for the past year I have received a TOTAL of 3 email notifications stating "we are happy to report no issues with accounts the past month". What happened to the other 9 months of monitoring?

I like the fact that my personal information is being guarded by Life Lock. It's an extra peace of mind that is good to have these days with all of the identity theft going on. No one likes to pay for insurance, but "assurance" helps me sleep better with the relatively small fee Life Lock charges per month. Just one complaint would be that my bank isn't within Life Lock's database. I've clicked the option twice to request it be added, however, it still isn't there. A bit disappointed with that in that I'm paying for a service they're selling but can't take advantage of it because someone isn't holding up their end of the deal. I plan to wait and see before I decide whether another option might be available for 100% protection elsewhere.

Although the email alerts are helpful, and I have peace of mind that someone is looking out for my interests, I was not given a monthly credit score update as told by the rep on the phone AND if you do have your information stolen, there are HUGE fees charged by Lifelock to investigate even after the rather large annual fee. This is my second year and I am still shopping around.

WHEN I SEE THE MESSAGE, I KNOW THAT YOU ARE MONITORING. EVEN WHEN I'M NOT AFFECTED BY THE INFO, IT'S GOOD TO SEE IT.
