First of all, a family member signed me up for LifeLock. They acted as me and used my personal information. The family member was prevented from completing the entire account setup as they did not know enough specifics to complete the process and access all the services. That did not, however, stop LifeLock from removing money from MY bank account for the services every month. My family member attempted to cancel the account on 4 occasions and each time they have been told that they can not cancel based on the family members request. This seems reasonable until you consider that LifeLock will setup accounts and will happily charge (anyone) without verifying the identity of a customer. Also, on 4 occasions, proper legal documentation was supplied to LifeLock providing complete Power of Attorney privileges to a family member to allow them the ability to cancel this account. Each time LifeLock's response (which took several months of continual follow up to get) indicated that the documentation is not correct as it is a "Will and trust rather than a POA". **** EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING **** The documentation was provided to LifeLock as an 8 page PDF document and though the first page said "Will", pages 6-8 cover the "Durable Power of Attorney" specifics. It was clear that LifeLock's documentation and legal departments are either too inept to review the entire document or are intentionally making decisions to put revenue above legal obligations. We went to our bank to revoke authorization and cancel the monthly debit charge from LifeLock. The bank told me since it is a "preauthorized debit charge" the only way to prevent it going forward is to cancel the debit card, have a new one issued with a new number, then do not give the new number to LifeLock. We did. This worked for 6 weeks until LifeLock somehow identified what the new debit card number was and then charged not only for the monthly service but also the previous months payment to get "caught up". Both payments were completed without any authorization and we are still trying to figure out how LifeLock got the new debit card info not to mention how they continue to justify charging my account for their services. This has been going on for 8 months now with no resolution. I can't express how frustrating it has been. Not only do I not recommend LifeLock, I suggest that to truly protect your friends and family please tell everyone you know to avoid LifeLock like the plague. Not convinced? Before you sign up with LifeLock do your own research regarding the fines levied to LifeLock by the FTC for continuing to misrepresent their services to consumers and for inferior protection of customer's private data. ** This account was set up without my knowledge. Proper verification was never done by LifeLock! All monthly fees charged should be refunded and the account closed. **

I feel that this has been a waste of money as I don't feel I have gotten anything out of the amount of money it costs. Last month Discover freaked out because I had a charge that they were disputing. They made me get a new card, they were so nervous. I heard nothing from Lifelock.

Lifelock's extensive network is not very extensive. it does not effectively prevent fradulent activity. I recently opened a bank account in another city, and Lifelock did not detect it. When I called to complain, there was no concern on the part of the person I spoke with. If Lifelock was my company, I would have been very concerned and would have carefully documented the complaint and followed up. Lifelock is a fraud!

My identity has been stolen and my credit card since I joined lifelock and NO ONE from life lock has called me. I would like to know what I am paying for. The same person has stolen my credit card, changed my mailing address and you have not caught any of it.

Thus far you are failing! We just had my debit card being used by someone else, and you guys never caught it or even called about it!!! Wells Fargo had to catch it and they dealt with it.

On the phone survey you asked me to rate the person who helped me but did not provide a scale. I find you to be a little difficult to understand. You sometimes send multiple alerts and I am unsure if it is a new alert or a duplicate. At the end of the phone survey you can select 2 to review answers but, it doesn't allow you to actually review anything. I'm not at all impressed with communications from Lifelock.

It's showing 3 alerts for the same transaction. I checked my financial institution and they only have that transaction once. I replied "yes, that's me" on the first instance, but there's no way I can clear their duplicate alerts. Lifelock won't connect to one of my accounts even though I gave it the correct logon credentials multiple times. The duplicate alerts are annoying!

Total waste of money.

I can not see any benefit of this service. The credit reports were 60 points lower than Experian. When I added credit cards to 'monitor' I got a stupid alert every time I made any type of purchase. So annoying. I deleted every account that I had entered and probably will never log in again.

You did nothing for me

I had fraudelent transactions by someone using my debit card #. My Banck noticed, and put an immediate block on my card. Life Lock did not do ANYTHING. My Bank refunded all my charges. Till this day, Life Lock did not even know I had been a victim. Useless.
