Lifelock quickly identified credit inquires as suspicious. It turned out that someone had gotten hold of my SS and DOB and filled out credit card applications, with 2 of 6 being accepted. Lifelock contacted the banks with me in conference call to shut these accounts down and identify them as fraudulent. The credit inquires will be removed from the 3 credit bureaus; Lifelock initiatied that process. Thanks to Lifelock for heading this off before it became a much more serious issue.

My personal information is on the black market and I have had more than 18 attempts to get credit cards or pay-day-loans in my name in the last 1 ½ years. Between LifeLock and the credit rating agencies, in only one case was a purchase successfully made. My personal equity and banking accounts are locked down, and if I need to make a transaction in my equity account, I must go to the nearest office in person to do so. LifeLock has been my savior, because if a purchase is made, I must go to the Police department and file a complaint. LifeLock is a great service.
