For the 2015 tax season, we found out the hard way that someone had broken into our account used in 2014 for on-line tax preparation and submission. 'Someone' got hold of our personal information for our family, Social Security Numbers, Names, Birth Dates, wages, complete w-2 information and successfully processed a 2015 tax return changing only the current address and bank account information. We are in the process of cleaning this up. Our expectations are that this data will 'never' be secure again and we have to constantly monitor in all possible ways. I signed my family up for the maximum protection we could get from life lock. We realize this still does not cover every possible way we could be tampered with in the future, but at least now, we have some piece of mind from the continuous monitoring of our accounts.

I live in a small town in Tennessee but we have drug issues, break ins, and quite often ID theft reports in newspaper. We also have corupt law inforcement. I have a modest bank account, credit cards.
