Months ago I began a job search using the internet. My personal information is now on sites such as LinkedIn and other sites tat would post jobs that fit y qualifications. Fortunately I soon found work. However, with my name and contact information out in the internet world we started receiving unsolicited. Joining LifeLock was an easy decision for my wife and me to make. It is the best money we have spent to insure that our futures are secure. We have received a few notices of possible activity regarding our accounts. LifeLock provides my wife and me with the piece of mind that everyone should have. My advice to all, join LifeLock, limit the number of accounts you have on-line and make sure you deal with people you trust. Identity theft in no joking matter. My Wife and I had the misfortune of trusting a local, established company to move us to our new home out of state. When our household goods arrived, much of it didn't, including valuables that were inadvertently added into our shipment. Because we had trusted someone we didn't know, we felt violated and potentially exposed to fraudulent activity, as some confidential documents were also compromised. We had no choice but to turn to LifeLock, and we are thankful to have done so, with all the headlines that are out there today!! We have an added measure of reassurance knowing LifeLock is monitoring and preventing potentially damaging consequences to our protected information and financial holdings. Lifelike gives me peace of mind amongst the chaos in this world. To many thieves from to many countries and the homegrown ones as well. I have plenty of other things that need my attention and I don't need the aggravation of having to put my financial life back together in the event the bad guys get into my finances. Prior to becoming a LifeLock member. I had an identity theft incident that could have been easily handled by LifeLock. I had submitted a job application to a company. Shortly there after, I received a job offer from another company. All was well and good until I was in the hospital with cancer. I received a letter from a collection agency. They stated I owed money to American Express. I contacted American Express. They said they couldn't answer any of my questions because all the information had been forwarded to the collection agency. I called the agency and was told they reported to American Express that it was a case of identity theft. I contacted American Express and they said I owed them the money because I had made several payments on the account. I asked how the payments were made and I asked for a copy of my application for their credit card. They refused to comply. I asked what was purchased and where was it delivered. It was one of the companies where I had submitted an application. Six hand held radios, chargers and extra batteries were ordered. T he signature on the receipt could not be read. I asked American Express if they would notify the local law enforcement agency that a crime had been committed. The serial numbers were available for all of the equipment. Law enforcement could have searched the office and recovered the equipment. Instead, American Express had a second collection agency contact me. As a result, my credit history is still affected by this one incident that happened in 1997. It wasn't until years later I became aware of LifeLock.
