I work at the Maricopa Community College district. They failed to protect the personal information of their faculty, staff, and students. Then they lied about it and hid it for six months. They purchased some kind of Identity Theft protection for everyone, but I went ahead and got LifeLock. In the time that I have had both kinds of Identity Theft Protection, I have never once gotten a message from the other company warning me about possible fraudulent activity. However, I have received multiple warnings from LifeLock. They even warned me that a sexual predator had moved into my neighborhood. When my mother was still alive, I purchased LifeLock for her as well. I love the peace of Mind.

Lifelock has alerted me a number of times to possible problems. Once, while opening an account at Guitar Center, I was still filling out the form for an in-store credit line and Lifelock sent me a warning that "someone" was trying to open a credit line! It was BEFORE the ink had dried on the paper and BEFORE the final form was signed. Now that is pro-active protection. Much better than being notified after the fact and then needing to clean up the mess.
