During the few years that we've had LifeLock, we've had credit cards replace three times because of information theft and have received letters from the military because of theft of government employee information. In most cases these corporations offered a free year of LifeLock - AFTER the fact. We didn't need to worry because we were already covered. Once the horse is out of the barn it's a bit late to lock the door.
