I have Lifelock through AOL and have had no further problems with credit attacks. In the past, I found activity on my checking account, people opening accounts in my name, writing fraudulent checks on non-existent accounts, and renting apartments. However, and that is a big however, you always keep me aware of debit card hazards. Sometimes itis the onlyway to pay. For example, my severly handicapped daughter spent most of November and December very sicl. She wanted to celebrate feeling better to go see the new Star Wars. Eventhe line to by tickets was way too long so she sent a close friend to wait and make the purchase for the first matinee. A few days later we got a call from Visa asking if we had been traveling since they had one charge from American Canyon and had been asked to approve another. I explained that no, we were hours away from there, had used the card locally. Thanks to your newsletters I hung up, called Visa and confirmed the conversation. Called the Theater, explained and confirmed with the manager that their charge was legitimate, suggested he check his machines because that particular card gets used maybe five times a year. Then left a message on the answering machine ar the issuing Credit Union, followed by a phone call on the next banking day. All charges were reversed. Thank you for the reminders. Read More Read Less
