I had just moved to a new area, didn't know many people and became a victim of a dating scammer. I didn't have any money, thank goodness, or he would have taken anything I had. At first it was requests as he was in trouble, family got sick, etc. then he began to threaten me when I told him I didn't have money to lend or give. Some of the threats were frightening, so I contacted local police, who came by and took all the information I could give them, emails, phone numbers, photographs. I was lucky.
At that time I joined Lifelock after researching agencies online. You have always made me feel safe.
I live in a building for seniors so was able to give a seminar for others giving all information they would need to feel safe again. Quite a few of them had been scammed or were in the process of issues. Thank you.I was able to tell them how to proceed to protect themselves.
